Strong sprinter Catapulted will return to racing in the 2010 McEwen Stakes, after trainer Mark Kavanagh sent him for a brief spell.

Jockey Michael Rodd has been lined up to take to the five-year-olds saddle and has expressed his excitement over the return of the Group Two QTC Cup (1300m) winner.

Randwick-based trainer Gai Waterhouse has nominated Hay List for the 2010 McEwen Stakes.

The five-year-olds last jump resulted in a Group Three WJ Healy Stakes (1200m) victory, but Waterhouse is struggling to find a jockey after Nash Rawiller’s suspension.

Looking to finally top the podium in the McEwen Stakes is Morgan Dollar.

The Morphettville-based runner has finished second in the past two editions of the McEwen Stakes, and is set to see champion hoop Craig Newitt take to the saddle once more.
